My Name is Hanna Tukiainen. I am a cofounder of Positive Education Finland. I have been a teacher for over 20 years and I completed my Master’s degree in Education in Turku, Finland, 2002.
2022 I reached my next goal as I finished my Special education teacher studies at the University of Helsinki. I started a totally new era in my working life last autumn. I started to work as a vocational specialeducation teacher for adult immigrants in secondary level. Very exciting!
I have teaching experience in elementary school (7 to 12 years), in junior high school (13-15 years) and in Vocational School. I have taught children with special needs. I have been working as a resource teacher helping pupils in different kinds of classes. Co-teaching with a classteacher and a special education teacher is a brilliant idea!
I have also taught Finnish as second language to immigrant pupils in small groups, sometimes also as a second teacher in the classroom. I am interested in teaching Finnish language and children´ s literature with functional methods. Reading is one of the most important skills to learn well! I also like to use art methods in my teaching and I think it is important to create an atmosphere of trust in my classroom. So every student can feel safe and creative and learning can happen.
My focus as a teacher is to teach students who know their strengths and who believe in their possibilities. Every student can succeed with the help of supportive and encouraging teachers. There is something good in every student every day. Positive education and emotional skills are the ways to raise strong children with good self-esteem and empathy.

Hi,
My name is Sannis and I'm a founder of Positive Education Finland. I had my special education degree in University of Malaga, Spain in 2010 and after that I've been working as a special education teacher in various schools in Helsinki metropolitan area in Finland. I also work as a neuropsychiatric coach and a mindfulness and emotion skills intructor and have created a parent coaching course for parents who have educational challenges at home.
I'm very interested in positive education and changing the focus from weaknesses to strengths. During the years of being a teacher and a coach I've met dozens of students with different difficulties. I’ve seen how powerful it is to find out their strengths and focus on the good.
Right now my mission is to train as many professionals and parents as possible to use Positive Education skills in a classroom and at home to raise our children up to an adulthood where they can recognize and be proud of their strengths and live a life where they can flourish.
